Bama, quitting drinking is a lot like being presented with a fatal illness.
We always seem to do the same five things.
#1 Denial
It can't be true. I won't have it be true. I refuse to believe it's true.
#2 Anger
Why me, what did I do to deserve this?
#3 bargaining
Lets make a deal. I can figure out how to control it, I know I can.
#4 depression
This really is the elephants graveyard. I guess I'll spend the rest of my life in those boring meetings. Crap!
#5 Acceptance
OK God, I quit fighting. I can't fix any part of it. Please have it all.
Then and only then are we on the road to the good stuff,
