I won't even discuss the safety issue....

But I need to understand WHY oh WHY it is legal to drive around busting other peoples eardrums!!! What the heck??? How is that fair to the rest of us?? I have been woken up 3 nights in a row by what sounds like a jackhammer in my head. But, it's motorcycles a block away. Why is that legal? It's not legal for me to drive my car without a muffler....is it??
