I don't like to get my hands dirty, I don't constantly wash them every minute, but if I have a chance in between doing something even if I'm not through I will wash them, but that's only if it's like dirt or something I can see or feel on them. I hate going bare footed or wearing flip flops because I hate getting dirt, or feeling something on my feet. (sand mostly, I live in south Alabama, so it's mostly sand here) If I'm writing or tying something and I mess up or I don't like the way it's written or sounds, I'll rewrite, even if it's a whole page. Sometimes I feel like I just have to touch something, or someone, this is a big issue because I'm all the time picking at something, whether on me or someone else, like bumps or scabs, it's like I have to pick at them, this sometimes I can't stop, and this does interfere with my life because my boyfriend gets mad when I keep on after being asked several times to stop. There are some things I use to do but don't do as much anymore, like hanging my clothes a certain way in the closet, I still do it but not all the time, just sometimes I feel like I have to. But I do fold everything a certain way, and expect everyone else to fold it that way too, and if they don't I get aggravated. These things don't cause a major problem in my life I don't feel like, but I don't really know much about the condition. Does it progressively get worse over time, and if so should I do something about it now before it gets worse????

Yes, it could get worse and yes, you need to find yourself a therapist who deals with behavioral issues. You sound like a very intelligent young woman, be best to seek help soon! Please, get help!
