I live with a spouse who doesn't acknowledge any of our insiders. It is very hard to live with someone who denies reality. We manage to keep most of it out of his notice and we say nothing about who we really are to him. It is not good, it is a half-life and that bites, but we are who we are and we accept us and we have two daughters who both accept us. So we do the best we can.

If you can it would be good to find some help for the DID and maybe live with another relative who can be more accepting. Some people have their own internal stuff going on and they can't cope with our stuff - maybe the grandmother person is one of those. For many DID's they are in 3 and 4th generations of the same old darkness that makes children split into many pieces...Your life is worth as much as anyone else's in the whole world, don't let anything convince you otherwise!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There is no one out there who is better than you. That is a literal truth, but hard to believe sometimes when family has treated us badly. But, you can choose to believe it and after a while the truth and rightness of it helps you change and heal.
