This friend of mine, he is probably the closest thing I've ever had to a crush Though, I didn't really like him that much lately since he talked about sex stuff quite often (Well, can't quite hold that against him since most teenage boys do) in graphic detail on the bus. He thinks it's funny, but it's just ick to me. (he does have a lot of good qualities though as well)
but he's dating this girl, actually, they've been dating for at least a year now. Now, she used to be my brother's girlfriend (the dating pool is pretty small here in the middle of nowhere) and I know from him that this girl has issues. Now, everyone has their issues, but she's just over all not a person who you can really have a healthy relationship with at this point. She's manipulative, controlling, and likes to spread nasty rumors about her ex boyfriends and their girlfriends (not to mention he still has scars I think from when she claws him sometimes).
He broke up with her at least once, during the winter when he was having a really hard time because his grandpa had passed and he was just feeling depressed and he had to go to the hospital because he was so sick over break and stuff. While all his friends were being supportive and caring she was just thinking totally about herself and didn't really care about him. Well, a few weeks later she managed to bring him back, and at this point it's like the beginning of the relationship all over again with him answering her every beck and call.
Now, for awhile I was neutral about the whole thing, I didn't like it. Heck, nobody who really knew him liked it really. We kept of telling him how toxic the relationship is, but he was happy with it. Well, I just gave up really, if he's happy with being a doormat then hey, who am I to judge?
When the graduation was over though, a new bolt of worry for him ran through me. I noticed that there were cuts on his arms. I havn't seen him since graduation, but I talked to my friend about it, she said he's had those ever since he started dating that girl.
