I can relate. They do it cause in their mind they think they are helping in some way. They don't really get it, but to them they think they are saying/doing things that will help make your day better when it reality it doesn't!!

I mean, they're yelling at me for having an "attitude" and telling me to stop being a *****. They know what's going on, yet they continue to make it worse.
