Sounds like it could be a simple cyst/boil of some kind - does it come to a head of anykind? Can you see if it has a white head - if so, its probably a boil.

I would massage it like she said, and also Try holding a hot-as-you-can-stand-it washcloth full of salty water to it for a few times a day.

IF it persists, I know you probably wouldnt want to, but go see the doc. In extremely rare cases it can be something more serious.. but thats pretty rare. In most cases if you ruled out STDs its going to be a cyst or a boil.
