I suppose I meant when you have to ask yourself (or your T asks you) an important question about something and you have to somehow find the answer without actually knowing the answer. Does that make any sense?
I use a method kind of like brain straining...trying to squeeze the answers out of the hidden recesses of your mind. Or thinking really hard... It used to be unbelievably difficult for me when I first started therapy and I needed lots of suggestions from him. But this past week I was able to come up with the answers on my own. It's kind of cool in a way. Like therapy opens up your mind in some way that it's never been open before and you can see things you hadn't. I hope that doesn't sound too weird...
