with everything Catherine said. I add this, keep giving meds a try until you get it right. Most meds for depression need at least 6 weeks to take full effect, and unfortuantely during that time is when you will experience the worst of any side effects on the drug. At least that's how it has worked for me. By the time the full effect of the drug is being felt the worst of the side effects are starting to go away. So be patient yourself and don't let your pdoc push you off and on drugs to soon. And go one drug at a time so you know what is doing what to you.

Second, therapy. Having a therapist to talk to every week is very helpful and can keep you on track better, and they offer some great advice and insights. Finding a T is like finding the right meds, patience needed and might need to try several before the right one comes along and works with you.

Just thought of a third thing, try self help books and/or groups. They will have some good ideas and you can go at your own pace.

I'd rather have a visit, note or pretty picture
than an "I'll say a prayer" or a "god bless you."
Doesn't make me feel better, no meaning to me for sure.
Can't stop you from praying and blessing me,
and if that makes you feel better feel free.
But keep it to yourself please, don't tell me.
And let's all respect each other's feelings.
With kindness, support and "sweet dreamings."
Thanks for this!
