I do not take medication, but I have major sleep issues. I am so hyper and awake at night that I am awake until 4am or 5am. Its doing my head in as I do shift work and need to get a decent sleep. My Doc said she did not want to give me sleeping tablets as they are so addictive. So instead gave me a sheet on insomnia and sent me on my way. I have done everything it suggests
1. Bath before bed
2. No caffine after 6pm
3. No food 1 hour before bed
4. No distractions 1 hour before bed
5. Hot drink at bedtime
6. Try and go to bed at the exact same time every night(well I have attempted that)
7. Not getting up when and if I can not sleep
8. Herbal Sleeping Tablets
I am at my wits end. I have just came off of 2 weeks on Night Shift and I was up until 430am this morning. Planning on a Hot Bath which I will run very shortly
I know how you are all feeling. I have been like this for about the last 12 years
