Hi EJ,
Hubby needs to see a gastroenterologist asap. He or she will know exactly what to he. He will probably start with some meds to ease the discomfort and then do some tests, like an endoscopy and maybe a colonoscopy. Medicine has improved so much that they are not nearly as painful or uncomfortable as they used to be.
