I did not feel able to do jury duty because I could not promise that I would not switch and possibly miss important testimony and because I could not be sure I could do a rational job of being a jurist.

My doctor who does all my medical stuff wrote a note that we have a dissociative disorder and we were excused from duty.

I don't want to use this disorder in inappropriate ways, but I was pretty sure the stress of being in close proximity to others and with many strangers was going to upset my system of alts and cause me to be a liability, not an asset. But, this is just me.
