I hate it, too. Because it has stolen time and joy from my family. Because other "normal" families don't understand what we deal with. Yet, it was the dreamer in my husband that I fell in love with. His wild roller-coaster rides of emotion that he would take me on. The intensity of my son and the depth of feelings we experience. The sense of humor and justice that my family has. If it weren't for bipolar, I would lack compassion for others. I used to be a much more judgmental person.
Plus, when we were riding high, we went to Australia, Alaska, Mexico, Costa Rica, Bahamas, etc!!! He sure knows how to have fun!
