Um...get off of lithium. I'd ask your meds person to adjust your meds in some way. If you've tried lithium for months and it's still not helping or making worse your depressed mood, there has to be something else! I would go to another doc if they won't adjust your meds. That's what I'm planning on doing if I have another week of nose dive depression and I'm told to walk it off. Not like I had a baseball hit me in the stomach...I felt much worse than that. I'd actually rather be in purely physical pain than mental anguish. But you know how it is. I say bring back the hypomania, but I might be the little devil on your shoulder.
