The period is only the end of a sentence....not the end of the paragraph or the chapter.
I am so sorry at the loss of your uncle. I think that is sometimes why we have to let go of the things in the long ago past so we do have room for the feelings of the now.....especially when there is no relationship between the two occurrences....
I know logic sounds good, puttint into practice is something harder.
I wish your family well.....hoping that you all can band together & help each other with your sorrow.
