Smudge, a calico, and her sister Saxaphone, a tabby, were such wonderful companions. When Sax was 14 I had to let her go, she had mouth cancer. When Smudge was 15, I had to let her go, she had pancreatic cancer. Sax I held while she died, Smudge I gave to the tender care of an amazing vet and his staff.
It is almost a year now without my beloved cats. I so miss them. Today I give myself time to cry and remember. I am so thankful for what they brought to me. What we shared.
