I am unfamiliar with this term "normal sleep". What's it like?

But seriously, in my case, I think irregular sleep does more harm to my quality of life than any other symptom I experience, so I agree it's pretty much a major drag.

The one suggestion I have for over-sleeping due to depression is to get outside as much as possible, and failing that, take vitamin D and try to make a point of looking out the window occasionally.

But I agree with jattitude, I hope you can see a doc soon. Good luck.

I take Vitamin D once a month per my doctor's advice. I was taking it twice a week but when I saw him about a month ago he told me I could drop it down to once a month due to the levels I had when he drew my last blood levels.

I am still sleeping a lot during the day and not a whole lot during the night but I have found that if I put my CPAP mask on it tricks my brain into thinking it is time for sleep and I actually get sleepy when I wasn't previously. So I have been doing this but then I wake up again and have to wait for the sleepiness to start again. I have increased the level of pressure my CPAP gives me thinking maybe that was the problem but I think me going back to sleeping in my bed will help a lot but it hurts to sleep in my bed. I had a bout of shingles about a month ago and it still hurts to lay on the side of my body they were on so sleeping on the couch is really the only way I can get any sleep at all.
