Ok-you need to find the biggest bucket you have, fill it w/ ice water...and then quickly plunge head into it and yank it back out.
I know, I'm an ***. Please laugh.
I could be wrong, but in some cases, where life becomes unbearably, intolerably boring...do you think we invent an impossible challenge for ourselves? The thought of having nothing to look forward to, maybe nothing that's going to yield an achievement or reward ('cus some of us have mental wiring that absolutely needs productive challanges to remain healthy)our brains will compensate w/ some 'insurmountable problem', like not being able to go out doors? Or, maybe the reason could be more emotional, more along the lines of a caretaker vacancy, say, someone leaving the nest? Just plain, old grief? (I'm wondering why your self image in public is evidently taking a hit).
This is why that 'ole journal tool comes into play in a useful way. If you could go back and pin point the events of the day it happened.
Can you call somebody on the phone? People get busy and forget to make contacts, and sometimes we need someone to come knock on our door and validate that we do exist.
People don't mean to indifferent most times; I think even the sound of another human voice will get you out of your house sooner. There have been very few times where I dialed up a relative, or someone who I hadn't talked to for a long time where we didn't end up having a delightful conversation. Long distance can be priceless.
