Take what you need and leave the rest...works for me when someone makes comparisons with my pain and theirs and does not respect the differences.
Comparisons in my opinion have no place in a support forum. To share what someone has been through and what helped them can be helpful, however telling anyone, Anyone To Get Over It Right Now! is rude and belittles the sorrow we are doing our best to handle...

Walking a mile in someone's shoes does not guarantee understanding--after that mile they go back to their own stuff. We still walk in ours...
