I hope you meant the dish and not the dog.
I have had explosive anger issues my whole life. As a boy of about 12-13, I used to throw things against the wall. Like books and my eyeglasses (not to smart there,as my parents made me wear the broken glasses to school). It always seemed to come out of nowhere.
Then there was a period of illegal drug use which mellowed me out to the point where I couldn't pick up a book. Now, I'm on legal meds which help, but as a much older man of 54 I still feel the stress build up and occasionally I explode. I've thrown a drinking glass at a door and put a pretty good hole in it and have yelled at my mom horribly a few times this past year.
My T just says this is "explosive anger" and is associated with my BPD.
She told me to talk to my m.d. about getting a little more xanax and that we should work on this issue more in the future.
It appears to me that it's a physiological reactioin to stress or some kind of specific trigger which is what T wants to work on.
