My weight ballooned up over the last year to the point that I had gained a total of almost 40 pounds by January. I decided it was time to stop the weight gain and to be honest all I did was ficus on calories. Weight gain is essentially more calories in than calories used. I cut myself back to about 1500-1600 calories per day. I cut out fast food totally and completely laid off carbonated beverages, drinking mainly water instead. My exercise come by way of playing sports on the weekend so it's not like I'm even really active. I do have a job where I'm moving around but it's not excessive. Since January I have lost 25 pounds and am at my target weight at this point so I'm back up to eating 1800 calories to maintain my weight. It may not be the most recommended way to diet, but it allows freedom in that if I had a snack then I could cut out calories somewhere else. I didn't have to completely give up everything I like to eat. I'm sorry you're having a weight gain problem from your meds... good luck!
