I've been on this since late August of last year, and it's a mixed bag for me: not entirely effective for depression for me, and it has caused some amotivation. Adding Wellbutrin helped a lot, for me, to augment the antidepressant effect, and to counter the amotivation.

I'm not sure about weight effects, because I'm also being treated for anorexia, so whether my weight changes are related to the medication or the nutritional counseling is really hard to tell.

I like the drug, overall, and think it's certainly worth trying. Have you tried Effexor? The effects are similar, although not the same. If Effexor was somewhat effective for you, I would bet that there would be some benefits to trying Cymbalta.
