Yes, I had a sponsor for 15 out of the 17 years and yes I did use her. It took me a while to get one when I first went to AA but I did and it took a while before I actually used her.
I did not know this support group was AA based so excuse me for coming here. I do believe the 12 steps are good.
Sorry! I did not mean to start any trouble just looking for support and just wanted you to know that I've done the AA thing , I have tried and tried and worked and worked and here I am and wonder now what? If another person tells me you have to want to be sober I'll just puke. I have always wanted it every time I've gotten sober.
