Eriks...my dears...
Do not look to others for recognition...recognize yourself, for that is what's most important.
DID and DDNOS are both on a continuum. They are never exactly the same for everyone. Not only that, but there are those in the DID/DDNOS community who still utilize their own denial to cope, and they use stigma to fuel that denial.
You spend so much time screaming into the wind....that's okay, but it takes up energy that you need to heal. You just have to understand that you can scream into the wind as loud and as long as you want to. Some will hear you and others won't, either because they can't hear you, or....they don't want to hear you. The latter has more to do with them than you.
I think this would be much easier for you if you focused your time and energy on those of us that DO hear you...
Some people...just don't get it!!
