I am sorry you are having trouble with someone in my line of work. I will put this out though. We are not all bad. I do commercial real estate only and would never consider doing residential real estate. I also will not except less than 6% unless I am listing for a personal friend. I work for that 6 percent and spend thousands of dollars every month advertising and making marketing materials. I also have 3 other licensed agents working for me. I do not have much experience with residential deals but I will say the agents in my feild that do cut their commissions are not really the best agents to work with. I will also say that when I put a listing in the MLS it takes the MLS up to 5 days (normally they get it done in 3) to take a picture of the building and put it on the website. I don't have the option to post it myself. I don't know how long it took him to get it up or if it is even the MLS system you are talking about. He should have at least had it on his personal website the same day. Please make sure you get him to put your incentive in writing. This profession can be very cut throat.
