Definitely have a discussion with your OB/GYN. There are medications out there to help you. I started my period when I was very young, I never had cramps or moodiness before it started, but once it did it was excruciating. After I had my second child, I was not breast feeding, but I did not have a period for over a year. They ran a million tests and eventually gave me a shot to start them, then stop, start etc. When they finally began to come on their own again, they came with paranoia, anxiety, and cramps to rival labor starting two weeks before my period. It could be something as simple as a vitamin/mineral deficit.
