I am at my wits end with my son and his wife. The 8 year old is the oldest, then twins coming three next month, then 1 1/2 year old. Their lives are in constant turmoil, no one can imagine. A brand new home and five acres that she doesn't want now, with no lawn put in, nothing finished on the outside. Now she wants her parents house remodeled to move back where she grew up. Keeping her mother with them who is having incontinence problems. Treating her mother like dirt! Last night they stopped at 9:30 knowing that we had asked for a couple days in advance notice if they needed help on the house. We can help them some, but have 17 acres of our own, horses, chickens to care for including the 25 they left with us and never feed or take care of. We are in the middle of baling hay right now. Our hay was cut Wednesday evening and I tedded it for my husband while he was working on machinery. Our daughter and her husband and sons are coming to help us today to bale the hay. They are treating the 8 year old just awful! Last night they told her that she could not stay all night with us, which we had planned before, but that part is o.k. The rest is that she has to stay with them and babysit for the other three while they put in fence around the pool, so that the three youngest don't get in the pool while they are working. That makes me absolutely furious!!!! To say that to an 8 year old and make her have that kind of responsibility !!! If anything would happen to the little ones and they would blame her, I will do all I can to take her away from them. That is a horrible thing to lay on an eight year old child. They are just pissed that everyone around is tired of trying to watch their kids who fight and hit each other and act just like their parents, screaming at each other, the kids, and her mother, all of the time. There, I vented !! I had to. I just don't know why they can't realize that everyone around them is seeing right through what is going on. Not only the grandaughter, but elderly abuse as far as I am concerned. They want the mothers home, then they want to put her in a rest home. What a deal for her !!
