I called p-doc and left a message that my T-doc and I don't think my mood stabilizer is working. He called back last night and told me to go down on the dose when he asked about side effects and I said that it makes me feel drunk when I take my second dose, but I started taking it at bed time so it wasn't a big deal.

He decided to lower my dose. I hope he has a plan because my main complaint is that it is NOT stabilizing my moods. How would a lower dose stabilize a mood that my higher dose hasn't done? I am on nothing but Trileptal and 1mg of Ativan to sleep.

He said we'll discuss other options at my appointment, but that is not until the end of September.

I asked my T-doc to call and talk about what he is observing in me to try to explain what he thinks I need for meds. I wish my T-doc could prescribe.
