I've heard that chocolate was supposed to be toxic to dogs, but all my life our dogs have eaten chocolate with no ill effects. That particular dog was infamous for stealing food. My twins grew up saying "watch my plate" if they had to leave the table for something while eating. She even learned how to open the fridge. The only thing she absolutely would not eat no matter what was cold cuts. Wouldn't touch them. If she stole a sandwich she'd eat the bread, cheese, veggies everything but the cold cuts.
