What's the big deal? Oops sorry... I mean, you can delete having any emails from this site, you can lock and not accept PMs so you don't leave anyone in the lurch waiting.. and then you can remove the site from your bookmarks/favorites, so what is the problem?

To someone like me, my background, when someone actively publicly requests to be deleted, it is a cry for help of some kind. It could be for attention, but I think it goes deeper than that. When a member asks this, maybe it's because they need more... and want more from the site? I wish those who feel this isn't the place for them anymore, then why not post what they find unsuitable for them or better yet: post what the site is lacking or what more they need. That would help us as members to accomodate those in need.

Maybe it's a control issue. I don't know. But when we surf the net and reply at places or leave our email addresses.. we leave traces of our virtual selves all over! Would you also be going back to all those site asking for deletion of evidence you were there? That sounds absurd to me.

I'm not angry.. not upset... just wondering what the bigger issue is to those who wish us to know they want to leave. If there's some way we can "help" these members in a way we aren't.. .I'd like to know. (Inquiring minds want to know!
