I fail to follow my own advice frequently enough to know that's way easier said than done, especially the 1st time you meet somebody, but just try to be as relaxed as you can about it. Remember, he may well have the same kind of doubts about himself. It's hard, but try not to read too much from on-line/phone conversations - they lack so many of the other subtle cues that only come from meeting in person.
