My recommendation is to start out slow. Ease into things. A part-time job is better to start with than a full-time job. One college course is better than four. It might be better to start with only one of those activities and add in the second one a few months down the road. Volunteering can also be good means of getting your feet wet once more.

The important thing is to set manageable goals that you can achieve. If you set your goals too high from the beginning there's the possibility you won't be able to reach them and this blow to your confidence could be a setback. But if you set smaller expectations at first, you'll build confidence as you meet each challenge.

It can be exciting to get back out into the larger world and begin interacting there again but do remember to take it as slowly as you need too and to allow time to adjust.
