Your therapist should be there to help you sort out your confusion. This could be an opportunity; if you present and, with the therapist's help, untangle your feelings about this person, it may offer significant insights into your depression as a whole.
I'm also not comfortable with emotional situations. Strong emotions can startle and frighten.
