My daughter has a birth sibling with whom she spends time. Yesterday they came here with the sister's baby. I had sister in foster care also. Anyway, when my daughter brought the sister home the boyfriend went nuts and was drinking and yelling and threatening and being really mean to the sister. She told my daughter that if she left he would hit her. He grabbed this beautiful 4 month old baby out of the house and put on this rickey porch where he was smoking. He told the sister to fin leave. I tried to speak with the sister later and she said it was just an argument. Yeah right!!! She hung up on me so I called the police. Of course they both deny anything happened. The sister is so used to this way of life. I tried to tell her that if she stayed in an abusive relationship she might lose her baby to foster care just as she was, and her parents before her.

Today I called child protective services and gave them a head's up. This family is well known and not in a positive way. I am obsessed today with wanting to keep mom and baby safe and get them the heck out of that apartment. And there really isn't anything more I can do.
