I wish I could get some advice this moment since I am currently suffering from this problem but that's a long shot.
My sleep has been broken and disturbed basically all my life. Always too little or too much. Now however the problem I am facing isn't the same. Not completely at least.
I have woke up 4 times in the last hour and a half and each time I fall back asleep I am having nightmares. Not even when I am asleep sometimes. Like tonight my first dream was when I was half awake half asleep I felt my daughter crawl into bed with me. It wasn't that that was scary, it was just that I had the same thing happen to me last week only I was fully awake last week.
Than the second time, when I just nodded off I was in the car with my husband and daughter and we were driving down the highway. I noticed my door was open (I was the driver) and tried to close it. I couldn't get it closed all the way and my husband and I started arguing about it. He than started to try and open the door all the way and close it. I tried to slow down but the more I tried to slow down the faster we were going. I literally felt the wind on my body and my entire body was shaking from the speed. I opened my eyes and saw I was in the room yet still felt the air, still heard the air and still was shaking. My eyes fought against me and won, they forced themselves shut and I wasn't about to give up so I forced one eye to squint open. I knew it wasn't real but I felt it and I was sure it was a dream even with my eyes open and me feeling everything so I tried to wake up and it didn't help.
My eyes won again and they were closed, but I seriously told myself "NO!" and opened them with force and jumped up in bed. I crawled over next to my husband afraid I was loosing my mind.
I went back to sleep, this time had a real nightmare and woke up. Than fell back asleep again and had a nightmare my body eventually went paralyzed than I woke up again and now here I am.
Things are getting more severe with my schizophrenia and my dissociation but I don't think these are the cause of the first two "dreams" or whatever they were. I just don't get how I could be asleep yet awake at the same time?!
If anyone has any kind of advice at all please feel free to share it and maybe help my sleeping get a little better next time! I'm always so tired! Take care everyone and have a wonderful night, it's off to the nightmares I go!
