i had a sleep issues since highschool, weird i think. i dont know if this is out of topic but please do ignore this if its not related here. and i dont know how to explain this in english so i hope you understand.
my sleep often comes with a nightmare, you know ghost / death / everything in to that. everytime i had a nightmare i will constantly freeze, like i cant move my body at all, hard to breath, hard to open my eyes, and then i will be like in the middle of my self consciousness, between awake & sleep. say a prayer is the only thing i can think of when it happens. after a few seconds i will be fully awake after pushing so hard to move my body / open my eyes. not only that, i often hear something inside my ears (not inside the room) during the "freeze" seconds, like a voice, someone voice, whispering, or laughing, and moreover sometimes i can feel something is touching me or something is on my bed, the bed moves.
in a traditional way, people say its something more like a possessed kind of thing. they say if we dont push ourselves to wake up, we will never wake up again, do you believe that?
but some other would say in medical terms, the freeze thing is only because im too tired that day. but why does it only came when i had a nightmare? it even happened when i didnt do anything at all the whole day.
its annoying when it happens almost every night, just sometimes it happens when i take a nap. my sleep always interrupted. its been like 8 years and it still happens. i know people who's having the same experience but its a rare situation for them. to me, its too much.
does anybody know anything about this? what is exactly happen during my freeze seconds? what caused it? and does it connected mentally?
thanks
