It's a gentle work-out eh? That would suit me! I've watched people do it in the park. I like that outside idea. It certainly is an option. I live in an area where there are many classes offered in it. I just prefer dance. *sigh*
Perhaps they, Chinese folk, don't use North American medicines so much but they do use mega amounts of Chinese herbal medicines, a few, I have tried.
My first choice would be contemporary dance or freestyle movement, however I see
not one of these classes offered in any of my local community centres for people our age. How unfortunate that we have to stop dancing this way

. (I don't want ballroom, jazz, hip hop, salsa etc).

Keeping fit (not necessarily at the gym), including losing weight is a goal for me.
This past year, however, overeating probably saved me, in some ways. It's not a great way to sustain ones life as it will actually eventually kill me, if I continue, but I thank myself for this gift to myself for this past difficult season. It's a psychology that I am employing to myself. Here's hoping I can sustain it.
To do it, I am being more mindful of my eating. Feeling my feelings, tasting the tastes and enjoying each bite (or trying). I know what is good for me and what is not so great...years of WW but this time I want to do it without the diet per se, choosing instead to come to the realization that I am full and anything over and above that is eating for emotional reasons only.

wii, I actually am obese. Omg, I hate that word but for my BMI (I think that is what it is called) but I am 4 years younger in the fitness category. Whoo Hoo! So, to continue to pursue goal of eating without self soothing with it...here I go.
