Sometimes it's a strange feeling for some of us, when family members act towards us the way we've always wished they would.

He's coming to fix things around your place and be near you... I suspect that feels a bit odd as it's not what you're used to.

Sounds like a wonderful thing.... do you think perhaps having your brother for a time has shown your dad what you go through with your brother everyday? I hope your dad and brother appreciate you.

How about if you try just living in the moment. If he's congenial, maybe setting the past aside would help you to accept his presence more openly? Just a suggestion.... I know how hard it is to set past pain aside- I'm just hoping for you that your dad has nothing but good intentions and your best interest at heart--- you so deserve that.
