Not a good thing to start getting into, it will just create more problems.
Sure, I know, the "hammered or wasted" can be a fun escape from stress and stuff, but once sober, life's reality is still there
My former therapist use to tell me that is only a short lived "escape" and risky too, took me awhile but in the long run he was so very right.
Please don't do that to yourself, it messes up one's mind and eventually lives. Be good to yourself, listen to your therapist, if meds needed take them, give all of this a chance, you are worth it
Therapy, one hour you say isn't enough, and meds aren't everything (I know not your exact words, but point made) but in time you'll find it all helps, I started out going twice a week, then once a week with therapist and once a week see the pdoc. Over time, I have reached a point I only have to see my pdoc 6 to 8 weeks And talk therapy now has been left up to me, I kind of "graduated" to this option.
I will admit, lately I am considering to set up talk therapy sessions once or twice a month just to cover some rough spots I have hit recently.
I hate to sound like this is a "pep" talk, but really want to encourage you to take care of yourself, you are so lucky to be so young and have the chance and time to get yourself together. I remember my teens, it wasn't fun, I toughed it out and by my early 20's things became terrific, sure up and down, not perfect, but a heck of a lot better.
The hormonal change also helped, getting through adolescents can be a challenge, but look forward and beyond the present. You'll make it
I have found life's challenges down the road make many of us stronger, and a little more resilent to things we weren't in the past.
Please take care, don't give up on yourself, even if you may feel others have. That negative mindset doesn't help your self-esteem, and stop doubting people care, they do.
Don't base your recovery, or whatever term that would be better, be based on what others think, concentrate on yourself, that is most important

Take care now,
DE
