Hi Thunderbear,

I'm sorry you're dealing with this neck pain. I, too, have pain in my neck and shoulder. In my case, it's from being hit by a car as a pedestrian in February. I saw a physical therapist, and I found that helpful. I learned some treatments I can do at home, like self-massage and others. There are some treatments they did at the physical therapist's office which really helped in my case, like traction, and we're trying to figure out ways to do that at home. Other things help me, too, like using ice packs (as opposed to heat). Everyone is different, and some people do better with ice rather than heat. If you haven't tried an ice pack yet, you might give it a try and see if it helps better.

I don't know what your situation is, whether you've been to a doctor yet, or not. I hope that you've been able to get it checked out.

I know some friends who have also seen acupuncturists and have had positive results for pain relief in some cases. I haven't tried it yet, but am contemplating it.

Wishing you well,
ErinBear
