I can relate about your Dad. You know the saying "Takes one to know one." Well, my sis-in-law is bi-polar, but she'd never admit to it let alone seek help for it. Her manic spending sprees have put her and my younger brother so far into debt it's not funny (she's a stay at home mom), and they've only been together 6 years. Then when she comes out of her mania and crashes, my niece and nephew aren't being cared for as they should be because she's hit rock bottom.

She's the resident authority on everything, yet knows nothing. She's even had the audacity to try to 'talk' to me about my BP...THAT was laughable considering I've done plenty of self-education on my BP. It was a VERY short conversation, that ended in a shouting match and my brother disowning me, because he feels I attacked his wife. Neither one of them cared enough to read the info I gave them about ME, so I blame all of this on their own ignorance. I still love my brother and know that there's going to be a day when he's going to come to his senses. All I have to do is be patient and wait.
