Hi there,
What you mentioned is very normal, I've even read it and went through it too. It does diminish in time, and with follows ups with therapist and/or pdoc.
As a pre-caution, I was told on day of release, if overwhelming feelings come on and no one is in your home with you, call the hospital you were in and ask for a counsellar on duty, or another staff member in the section of the hospital you were in, and tell them it is important that you speak to someone asap.
I was also told, which of course is extremely important, that if entering crisis, call 911.
The feeling(s) you mentioned are so very much what I felt, I was just so bummed, emotionally, physically and even as if I had been punished. All of this, let me reassure you is normal. I couldn't even to begin the various emotions I felt, but I am sure you have a very good idea.
If it helps, hang out here, talk to us, chat or even PM someone.
Do you have any friends or family members that live with you? If so try to tell them how you feel right now, even if it is medication related or not.
By doing so, it can help, being overwhelmed can fog our judgement and if someone who is close to you they can sort of tell if you are acting differently than usual.
They can bring this to your attention if it isn't already and help you seek help or seek it for you.
Discharge from hospital stays, rather it be physical or mentally related can produce an underlying stress, that comes in different forms, so do not feel that you are odd, it happens and we do not always have control over it.
I hope I was able to be of help to you in reference to your post.
I sincerely wish you lots of luck with this.
Take care,
DE
