She sounds like an attention w****. Pretty much anywhere she thinks she'll find sympathy or plain old negative attention, she goes there, even if she doesn't care about the other people or have anything in common with them.

That's too bad she's messed even that up. I'd try to find new social activities she doesn't know about.

Don't know what else to say. You're handling all that chaos better than I would. I'd take the cats to a "no kill" shelter, give them the owner's name and address, explain the situation, and have them call her. Then bug bomb your place and leave so you don't have to face any drama that day. You can always pick up the cats the next day if the house isn't going to be done anytime soon.

But that's just me. I have really bad reactions to flea, mosquito, and any kind of bug bites. I get welts. Cannot deal! I have work today, but I'll check up on you and everyone when I get home.
