I feel the same way as you do

and I'm an emotional eater too (always prepared with either a chocolate cookie or a brownie). But the best thing is that you manage to get away from all those smoking and drinking. Even though they don't make you feel better, they won't affect your health. I mean... be healthy=be happy

I get depressed sometimes and I use to go outside and take a walk(with a dog would be better, but I never had the chance to have one). Take one during a good sunny day, it really helps.
