Welcome to pyschcentral Ogette, you've come to a good place in your life. I'm thinking you might need professional help with this, since major depression is not a come and go disorder. Have you tried meds and/or psychotherapy? The book Feeling Good by Burns has an often used method of CBT to alter our thoughts that will cause things to become better... but it's near impossible to battle major depression alone.
