Sometimes it feels like a person with bipolar disorder is not allowed to feel happy or sad without being accused of being ill. However, try not to get defensive with other people or family when they say things that you feel are inaccurate (especially, "You are acting manic.") Eventually, you will adjust to how to keep you well. Take care!
