Hi Miss A,
I have to admit that your post sounded a bit like a depression post to me. I know the feeling - why do it if I don't like it? I think we lose our appetites when we're down and there's no way you can enjoy a meal if you're not hungry, especially in front of other people - that's torture!
I would say, find something that you like to eat and make it your own, eat when you feel like it, try not to make eating into an issue, but what do I know? Some days I can eat a steak meal and other days it's back to the weetabix.
When I lived alone in my flat I lived for a year on nothing but plain spaghetti, Ryvita biscuits and beer. Do you know what? They were good times. I still have a soft spot for a bit of plain spaghetti (cooked al dente) with a knob of butter.
But put me around the dinner table with a bunch of people and I'm done for. Who knows what causes all this c***, but it sure does happen.
Cheers, M
PS - another funny thing about living in my flat. I once got home from work on Friday night and went straight to bed. I woke up on Saturday teatime just to go to the loo, went straight back to bed and woke up again on Monday morning!
I had slept through the entire weekend without eating or drinking, and found myself back in work. Weird thing, I felt fine.
