Distortion of emotional reasoning: You assume that your negative emotions necessarily reflect the way things really are: "I feel it, therefore it must be true."

Distortion of Magnification: You exaggerate the importance of things.

Distortion of All or Nothing thinking: You see things in black or white categories.

Distortion of Should statements: You try to motivatae yourself with "should" and "shouldn't", as if you have to be whipped and punished before you could be expected to do anything (or understand anything.)

The strange thing is that every brain is basically created the same. The mind is created by our environments, distortions, belief systems. We are the same inside physically also (our hearts are in the same place, our eyes, our lungs) our brains -in general- all have the same locus of control in the same areas.

I wish our minds would not be so instinctly infuanced by the "negative" obstacles.

Our minds are equally influenced, however, whichever influence is more repetitive, etc., will be more effective. The positive can influence us, but it takes equal repetition. Our negative outlook can be changed through positive thinking. Control is up to us.

We, too, need our mind to tell us what to do! God made us that way. He has ingrained in us what is good, and what is not good. I think it could be one reason why you are questioning - and disliking - your unhappiness, because you DO know that there is better.

(Please use more paragraphs, it makes it much easier to peruse.) TC
