Just a suggestion, but it may help you to contact Credit Counseling Services through your community services...here they are under United Way.
They were able to help me whenever I had a problem, also. My counselor helped me with contacting my creditors, making short term arrangements with them, then help me set up a viable budget that helped me get back on my feet.

There is no charge for their services...please don't go to one of those "debt relief" places. Many, not all, take their fee upfront...leaving you in a worst bind.
