I've put weight on and lost it a few times over the years. For me, exercise never really made the difference, it was always the food that did it.
Also, I could never stick to a regime that someone else was giving me. I think you have to find your own way, and hopefully enjoy it. It might help if you could get really interested in something that's not to do with food and dieting, to take your mind away from that subject altogether.
